 "AIDS... Facts and Awareness" Awareness Seminar on AIDS at the Faculty of Nursing, Kafrelsheikh University.

The Faculty of Nursing, Kafrelsheikh University, organized an awareness seminar today, Thursday, 20/11/2025, titled "AIDS... Facts and Awareness", aiming to raise students' awareness about HIV prevention methods and correct misconceptions associated with the disease.

The seminar was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ismail Ibrahim, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Rashdi Al-Adawi, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and General Coordinator of Student Activities, and Dr. Sabah Abu El-Fetouh, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and supervised by Mr. Ehab Gad, Director of Student Welfare at the University.

The seminar featured presentations by Dr. Mohamed Naguib Aliwa, National AIDS Control Program Officer, and Dr. Rehab Sami, Deputy Coordinator of the National AIDS Control Program.

The seminar covered important topics including:

- Introduction to HIV and its transmission methods

- Prevention strategies and ways to limit the spread of the disease

- Importance of early testing and treatment

- Role of nurses in awareness, psychological, and social support for patients

The seminar emphasized the importance of spreading health awareness within the community and promoting a culture of responsibility towards protecting oneself and others, in line with the Faculty of Nursing's role in building aware and qualified health cadres.

This event is part of a series of educational activities implemented by the faculty, aiming to support public health and achieve the university's vision of promoting community awareness.
