Participation of Prof. Dr. Sabah Abu Al-Futouh, Dean of the Faculty,
in the Meeting of the Regional Health Council to Discuss the Development of the Healthcare System and Medical Services

Prof. Dr. Sabah Abu Al-Futouh, Dean of the Faculty, participated in the meeting of the Regional Health Council, chaired by Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel-Moati. The meeting aimed to enhance the integration of efforts between the University, the Directorate of Health, and the Health Insurance Authority to ensure the provision of the highest quality medical services for the citizens of the governorate.

The meeting also discussed mechanisms of cooperation in the training of internship students from the Faculties of Medicine and Nursing in hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health, ensuring regular and effective training for students. In addition, the council reviewed the preparation of a cooperation protocol between university hospitals and Ministry of Health hospitals in the field of postgraduate studies and specialized diplomas, with discounts of up to 50% on tuition fees, in support of continuous training programs for doctors, nursing staff, and administrators.

The council further discussed a proposed cooperation protocol for contracting Ministry of Health and university-affiliated hospitals with physicians to address shortages in subspecialties, in addition to activating the monthly meetings of the technical secretariat and the quarterly meetings of the Regional Health Council to follow up on the implementation of recommendations and plans, as well as holding urgent meetings in case of any health emergency.

The meeting also reviewed a proposal to activate a joint committee to ensure citizen satisfaction with medical services, in cooperation between the Governorate, the Directorate of Health, the University, the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers, and the Health Insurance Branch. The council also discussed signing a cooperation protocol with the Research and Engineering Consultancy Center at the Faculty of Engineering, Kafr El-Sheikh University, to provide technical and engineering consulting services to hospitals.
