In recognition of the vital role of the nursing profession as one of the most strategic and fundamental pillars of healthcare systems, and in response to global developments in nursing education as well as the implementation of national and international academic reference standards, the Council of Kafrelsheikh University, in its 71st session held on September 26, 2011, approved the establishment of the Faculty of Nursing.
This decision reflects the University’s commitment to preparing professionally competent nurses who are capable of delivering high-quality healthcare services that meet the needs of hospitals, healthcare institutions, and educational establishments. It also seeks to achieve internationally recognized ratios of nurses to physicians, thereby enhancing the overall healthcare system. Furthermore, the Faculty is dedicated to preparing a generation of graduates who take pride in their national identity and possess the ability to advance healthcare and assume professional responsibility.
In alignment with international best practices in higher education, the Faculty has adopted the credit hour system, which represents the academic framework widely applied in leading universities worldwide for the delivery of academic curricula.
