The President Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky inaugurates the second annual conference of the Department of Clinical Pathology, entitled "Integration between Laboratory Medicine and Clinical Practices", in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs; Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Nahla Naseer, the vice dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research and the conference head, Vices of Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and a group of staff members from the Department of Clinical Pathology and other medical departments, with the participation of a group of professors from various Egyptian universities.
The president calls for the need to increase joint academic degrees with the medical departments, because of the nature of the department's work and its integration with all other medical specializations, which is an affirmation of the university's strategy in achieving the element of complementarity between the departments and the tendency to encourage interstitial and accurate research, which contributes to improving the level of services provided, qualifying for the labor market, and keeping abreast of global developments in the medical field.
Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, praises the role and excellence of the Faculty of Medicine for its distinguished and productive human cadres that contributed to the development and upgrading of medical services provided to patients, as well as the scientific effort in the field of scientific research and international publication of the department, praising the support and care of the university administration under the leadership of the university president, as the department succeeds in being, through its scientific and research performance, a fundamental pillar in the work of the university’s medical system, adding that perhaps the key to the success of the department and its distinction lies in its pursuit of permanent and successive development in a way that required the university administration to work to provide the means of support and care necessary to achieve a distinct work process for the department.
Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, praises the efforts of the department and its role in advancing laboratory medicine in university hospitals in general, whether diagnostic, therapeutic or research, as a result of the major boom that occurred in the department and its specialized laboratories in recent times, thanking all the staff of the department for their cooperation with various university hospitals and medical departments in order to serve patients and relieve them.
Dr. Nahla Naseer reviews the efforts of the department and what it witnessed in developing and arranging strategic priorities for the clinical medical laboratories of the department, the development and renovation of the infrastructure of the blood bank laboratory in the university hospital, as well as the development of the administrative part of the department and the rehabilitation of all the department's laboratories for international accreditation. She also reviews the distinguished efforts of staff members of the department in the field of scientific research and international publishing, and adds that the department has been holding this conference periodically to review what is new in the field of laboratory medicine, with the aim of exchanging opinions and scientific and medical experiences among specialized professors from various Egyptian universities.
