Objectives of the Student Union
The student unions aim to achieve the following:
A. Promote spiritual and moral values, national awareness among students, train them in leadership skills, and provide opportunities to express their opinions. B. Foster a strong university spirit among students and deepen the bonds between them and faculty members and staff. C. Discover and develop students’ talents and abilities. D. Encourage the formation of student families and cooperative associations, and support their activities. E. Organize and promote sports, social, scouting, artistic, and cultural activities, raise their standards, and encourage excellence. F. Utilize students’ energy in serving the community and cultivate a spirit of participation.
Formation of the Student Union Council
The council is formed annually under the leadership of the Dean of the Faculty or their appointed representative from the teaching staff. Membership includes:
Students elect from among themselves a Secretary and Assistant Secretary of the council. The Head of the Youth Welfare Technical Office attends council meetings and serves as the Treasurer.
How to Apply for Student Union Elections
To be eligible for candidacy in the union committee elections, a student must meet the following criteria:

Be a citizen of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Have good character and a reputable standing.

Be a regular student in their academic year and not repeating it for any reason.

Have paid the union fees.

Be actively involved in the field of the committee they are applying to.

Must not have been previously convicted of a liberty-restricting penalty or had their membership revoked or suspended in any student union or committee.
Applications must be submitted in writing using the official form prepared by the university and submitted to the Youth Welfare Department at the faculty.
