On Monday November the 18th 2019, a medical therapeutic convoys was implemented in the initiative of the development of villages most in need of living in a "decent life" for the implementation of the recommendation of the seventh periodic national youth conference in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the village of Shabas al-Shohada and the neighboring villages in Desouk with the participation of of Prof. Dr. Tarek Abdel Baqi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, a representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Ali Sabry, Director of General Youth unit and a team from the General Administration of Youth unit. In addition to clinicians in all medical specialties to deliver medical and therapeutic services for free immediately for free through the plan of the university convoy in all cities and villages of the governorate.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Raziq Desouki, President of the University said that the participation of clinicians of all medical specialties in these convoys in addition to mobile clinics treating them free of charge comes under the slogan "Your health is important to us".
Moreover, Desouki stressed that the university is extremely keen to organize medical convoys in all fields; medical, veterinary and agricultural as well to serve the whole community and aims to reach distance places to provide health care for all the people in the whole governorate to implement its developmental mission and to benefit from the specialized scientific competencies at the university.
He also added that we seek to provide medical services to a major group of the population for the detection, examination and treatment necessary as the university aims to promote health, social, environmental and intellectual aspects of life.
Prof. Reda Saleh, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, said that the organization of medical convoys comes within the framework of the community role of the university to provide its services in the belief of the importance of delivering medical services in university hospitals daily to all citizens using international technologies.
