The president Prof Dr Maged el
Kemary accompanied by Prof Dr Khalid Abed el Gaffar, the minister of Higher
Education and Scientific Research and the Major General Saied Nasr,
Kafrelsheikh governor, and the local leaderships does an inspection tour today morning
for the university constructions, the opening of the Faculty of Languages,
medical committee building for staff members as well as laying the bedrock of
emergency hospital, the second stage of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and
ensuring the proper functioning of educational and research process at the
university.
During the Opening of the Faculty
of Languages, the minister listens to a detailed explanation about the faculty
which consists of two floors and every floor is about 5000m and has two
auditoriums with capacity of 400 students for each one, 15 halls for teaching,
10 languages labs, specialized scientific library and offices for staff
members, assistant staff and administrators.
As well, the minister opens the
second stage of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine which includes new two
floors and laying the bedrock of new building on an area of 8000 thousand
meters consisting of five floors at a total cost of 25 million pounds as well
as opens the central university Majid built on an area of 1200m at a total cost
of 6 million pounds and for 1200 worshipers.
During the visit, the minister
visits the Faculties of Pharmacy, Dentistry and Nursing, labs and auditoriums
and assures the proper functioning of the educational process and the ongoing
preparations for the end term exams from students and staff members.
He also surveys Nanotechnology
researches center subordinate to the Faculty of Science as he praises the
university efforts in supporting scientific research and the Egypt’s
outstanding position in this research field as it ranks No 25 in the world in
Nanotechnology researches.
The minister also surveys the
Faculty of Fisheries, aquaculture basins and researches labs and the president
stresses that this scientific specialization is needed by labor market in the
province which is famous with fishing and fish production.
Abed el Ghaffar surveys the final
preparations for the full operation of the university hospital scheduled to be
opened by the President of the Republic during the coming days with a capacity
of 433 beds and equipped with 12 emergency units, 63 beds for intensive care,
13 operation rooms with capsule system, cardiac catheterization unit, cardiac
surgery and unit for binoculars, gastrointestinal tract and bile duct and the
approximate cost of the hospital is more than 360 million pounds.
