“Moderation and Rejection of Hyperbole” Symposium at the Faculty of Science

Under the authority of the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary, the Faculty of Science witnesses today Monday 7/11/2016 the third day of the events of religious convoys organized by the Ministry of Awqaf in coordination with the university to educate young people with the correction of Islam and clarifying misunderstandings and misconceptions entitled “Moderation and Rejection of Hyperbole”.

The meeting starts with the speech of Prof Dr Ahmed Khudair as he welcomes the guests stressing the importance of these specialisms to educate the youth with the teachings of correct Islam away from extremism and militancy in thought and opinions.

From his part, the Sheikh Mustafa Safaan stresses that the intermediate Islam means the achievement of principle of balance on which the law of Allah is based in his creation.

As well, he points out to how to achieve moderation in Islam through Holy Quran and the Sunnah by the understanding of Rabanyen scholars, the rehabilitation of the concept of moderation in the souls through curriculum, mosque pulpits and the print, audio and visual media as well as holding seminars and conferences that describe the moderation of Islam.

Otherwise, the Sheikh Ibrahim Motwali el Magraby adds that the characteristics that distinguish Islam as a moderate religion and moderation means justice and keeping away from hyperbole, methodology of Islam based on balance and moderation away from exaggeration and negligence.
