Specialized Workshop: Ultrasound-Guided Regional Anesthesia Workshop

 Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Yahia Zakaria, President of Kafr El-Sheikh University, and Prof. Dr. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Medicine – Kafr El-Sheikh University, represented by the Department of Anesthesia, Intensive Care, and Pain Management, organized a specialized workshop entitled:

“Ultrasound-Guided Regional Anesthesia Workshop”

The workshop was held on February 6, 2026, at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Medicine.

This workshop comes as part of the University’s commitment to supporting continuous medical education and enhancing physicians’ competencies. It aimed to provide both practical and theoretical training on the latest techniques in regional anesthesia using ultrasound guidance, keeping pace with global advancements in anesthesia and pain management.

The workshop was conducted under the supervision of a distinguished group of university and faculty leaders, with notable participation from professors and experts in anesthesia from Kafr El-Sheikh and Alexandria Universities, ensuring a high-level scientific and practical experience.

The workshop was exceptionally organized and coordinated by:

  • Prof. Dr. Basma Ghoneim – Head of the Department of Anesthesia, Intensive Care, and Pain Management
  • Dr. Donia Hany – Lecturer of Anesthesia, Intensive Care, and Pain Management, and General Coordinator of the workshop
  • Dr. Ahmed Mabrouk – Registration Coordinator

The scientific sessions were delivered by:

  • Prof. Dr. Mostafa Abdel Aziz
  • Prof. Dr. Ali Mahmoud Mostafa
  • Prof. Dr. Ahmed Samir El-Abd

The workshop was accredited ضمن برامج التعليم الطبي المستمر (CME), and certified attendance certificates with credit hours were awarded to participants, contributing to their continuous professional development.

This workshop represents a valuable addition to the scientific activities of the Faculty of Medicine and provides an excellent opportunity for physicians to exchange expertise and stay updated on the latest clinical practices in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, within a highly professional and well-organized setting that reflects the outstanding efforts of the department’s team.
