The University President attends the 7th Scientific Conference of the Department of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine.

 Dr. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting President of Kafrelsheikh University, attended on Thursday, August 28, 2025, the opening of the 7th Scientific Conference of the Department of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine. The event took place at the college premises, with the participation of distinguished professors of pediatrics from the Universities of Cairo, Mansoura, Tanta, and Zagazig, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Health, Health Insurance Hospitals, and General Hospitals.

The conference was attended by Dr. Amani Mohamed Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal, former Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Hassan Younes, former Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Sabah Abou El-Fotouh, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing; Dr. Ahmed El-Ganzouri, Head of the Medical Syndicate in Kafrelsheikh; Dr. Nahla Nasir, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Wael El-Feky, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hatem El-Gohary, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Osama El-Ajmy, Head of the Pediatrics Department and Conference Rapporteur; and Dr. Hany Hamed, Executive Director of University Hospitals.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim welcomed the guests and participants, praising the efforts of the Pediatrics Department in organizing such an important scientific event that contributes to the advancement of both academic and community healthcare.

He emphasized that the Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospitals represent a distinguished medical institution that provides advanced healthcare services to the people of Kafrelsheikh and neighboring governorates, while also playing a vital role in training young medical professionals and preparing a new generation of highly qualified physicians.

Dr. Ibrahim stressed the importance of ensuring that such scientific conferences yield practical, applicable recommendations that enhance healthcare quality and benefit patients directly.

He also highlighted the opening of admissions at Kafrelsheikh National University for the new academic year, which will operate in parallel with the public university to serve the community — in line with the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who has placed great emphasis on education and healthcare as key pillars for building the Egyptian citizen and achieving sustainable development.

For her part, Dr. Amani Mohamed Shaker affirmed that organizing such scientific conferences reflects the university’s commitment to community engagement and addressing emerging health challenges. She added that the Pediatrics Department is one of the vital departments that directly meet community needs, thus strengthening the university’s developmental and service role.

Meanwhile, Dr. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, stated that the college continuously strives to develop its academic and research programs and to enhance cooperation with Egyptian universities and healthcare institutions. He noted that the conference provides a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange and discussion of the latest developments in pediatrics.

Dr. Nahla Nasir, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, affirmed that the college supports researchers and encourages high-quality scientific output, emphasizing that the conference serves as an important platform for presenting and discussing scientific research to enrich medical knowledge and improve clinical practice.

Finally, Dr. Osama El-Ajmy, Head of the Pediatrics Department and Conference Rapporteur, stated that the conference aims to produce actionable recommendations that improve the quality of pediatric healthcare services. He noted that the participation of leading professors and experts in the field adds significant scientific value and enriches the discussion sessions.
