The Faculty of Medicine, Kafrelsheikh University, and the University Hospital witnessed a remarkable scientific and medical event as the Interventional Radiology Unit organized its first hands-on training workshop on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

The workshop included a comprehensive scientific day featuring lectures and specialized sessions on
“The Role of Interventional Radiology in the Management of Musculoskeletal Disorders and Surgeries.”
Lectures were delivered by Dr. Mostafa Belba, Lecturer of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Mahmoud Ghalab, Director of the Interventional Radiology Unit, expressed his great happiness with the success of the workshop, announcing the first interventional radiology case to be performed in Kafrelsheikh Governorate next Sunday, marking a historic milestone in the university’s medical services.
He extended sincere thanks to the university, faculty, and hospital administrations for their continuous support, and appreciated the efforts of all participating departments and committee members.
Dr. Ghalab emphasized that this event represents a new beginning towards greater medical and research excellence.
The workshop concluded with an open invitation to all physicians to join the upcoming scientific activities, reinforcing Kafrelsheikh University’s role in medical and academic leadership across Egypt.
