The Department of Chest Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, Kafrelsheikh University, organized the second edition of the scientific conference entitled “The Modern Era of Pulmonary Medicine”, Pulmo- Kafrelsheikh 2, over the course of Thursday and Friday, October 12-13, in a hotel in Alexandria, with the participation of a number of chest medicine professors and department heads. Dr. Ismail Al-Qunn, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, on behalf of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Abdel-Razzaq Al-Desouki, welcomed the participants, hoping that the conference would benefit the university and the medical sector in general, through learning about everything new, exchanging scientific experiences and clinical skills between different universities, and health education. To all segments of society about excellence in safe medical practices, modern technologies in early detection and treatment, and scientific research and its developments in various fields that keep pace with the progress of advanced medical service.
The Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research greeted the conference participants and thanked the college administration and the Chest Department who organized the conference, expressing his hope that the conference would reach important results and recommendations that would achieve the goal of its holding.
Dr. Hani Hussein, President of the Conference, explained that the conference was attended by an elite group of pulmonology professors and department heads from a number of universities, to exchange experiences and research results in thoracic pathology, and to develop practical research methods, stressing that recommendations were made to form a multiple decision team (MDT) for each of the diseases. Pulmonary artery hypertension and lung cancer to complete the decision system and create a healthy environment for making decisions regarding the quality of these patients for a better medical and health service for them.
