The university launches a comprehensive medical, veterinary, and educational convoy to Village 73 and the neighboring villages in the center of Riyad, under the patronage of President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and the supervision of Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University; Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, within the framework of the presidential initiative “A Dignified Life” for the development of the Egyptian countryside, in cooperation with the Dignified Life Foundation, and in continuation of the series of convoys launched by the university in villages at the governorate level, within the framework of the university’s role in contributing to the implementation of the state’s plan and the directives of the political leadership to build generations capable of keeping pace with the serious steps of the Egyptian state in building the modern state and contributing to achieving its goals according to Vision 2030, believing in the role of the university in community service within the villages of Kafrelsheikh governorate within the scope of the presidential initiative (a dignified life).
A number of specialized professors from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy and Agriculture participate in the convoy, as a large number of citizens are examined in various medical specialties, which include “Ophthalmology - Dermatology - Cardiovascular - Pediatric - Neuro Surgery - Urology - Cardio-thoracic Surgery - Orthopedic Surgery - Internal Medicine - Diabetes and Endocrinology - General Surgery - Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (ENT) - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Dentistry – Prosthetics”.
The university also holds educational and awareness seminars, in which Dr. Tarek Attia, Faculty of Agriculture, and Dr. Ramah Muhammad, Faculty of Arts, lectured. The symposium revolves around developing the spirit of belonging and the importance of national projects. It also addressed the problems of early marriage, and saving on marriage expenses (extravagant bride expenses and the problem of fines).
The President directs staff members to continue launching medical and developmental awareness convoys to the areas most in need in all centers of Kafrelsheikh Governorate, with the aim of conducting medical examinations, providing free treatment, and educating citizens by holding seminars and lectures that serve these villages and work to develop their skills.
He adds that the medical convoy witnesses a great turnout from the people and conducts medical examinations on 1463 cases from the village of Zafraan and the neighboring villages, by a group of specialized and distinguished doctors in various specialties, within the initiative of a dignified life, and free drugs are provided to all patients.
