Scientific Day activities for the Department of Pediatrics in cooperation with the Egyptian Fellowship in Kafr El-Sheikh

On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, the Faculty of Medicine witnessed the holding of a scientific day at Kafr El Sheikh University Hospital in cooperation with the Egyptian Fellowship Administration in Kafr El Sheikh and the Hospital’s Department of Pediatrics, under the patronage of Dr. Abdel Razek Desouki, President of the University, and Dr. Elham Mohamed Mahmoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health. In Kafr El-Sheikh.

This came in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Al, Vice President of the University, Dr. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Ahmed El-Baz, Director General of the Egyptian Fellowship, Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary-General of the University, and Dr. Ali Abu Shusha, former Vice President of the University.

The scientific day was opened by Dr. Osama Al-Ajmi, Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine, Kafrelsheikh University, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Razek, Professor of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine and Training Officer at the Scientific Council for Pediatrics at the Fellowship.

The scientific day activities were attended by about 50 doctors in the specialty of pediatrics, and included various short lectures, followed by the organization of 3 training workshops under the supervision of faculty members at the College of Medicine.

The first workshop included a presentation and discussion of cases of congenital heart defects, presented by Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Ghaffar. The second training workshop included a presentation and discussion of cases of cerebral palsy, presented by Dr. Marwa Al-Dajwi, while the third training workshop included a presentation and discussion of cases of pulmonary aneurysm in children, and was presented by Dr. Ahmed Abbas.

At the conclusion of the day’s activities, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baz, Director of the Egyptian Fellowship Department, gave a speech in which he thanked the attendees and gave some advice to young doctors, urging them to benefit from the e-learning platform with the latest sources of science and modern research it provides.
