For the first time, catheterization of a newborn baby at Kafr El-Sheikh University Hospital

And fruitful cooperation between the departments of Kafr El-Sheikh University Hospital (Cardiology, Pediatrics and Anesthesia Departments)

To treat a very dangerous condition for a newborn child suffering from severe congenital narrowing of the pulmonary artery and a low level of oxygen in the blood, the child was detained in the incubator and then admitted for cardiac catheterization, the pulmonary valve was expanded with a balloon, and the child was released to the incubator.

This case is considered the youngest age for which a therapeutic intervention can be performed via a catheter
