Today, Sunday 3/12/2023, Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, receives Cándido Creis Estrada, the Spanish Cultural Counselor in Cairo, and Miriam Gonzalez from the Cultural Chancellery Office, to discuss ways of scientific and academic cooperation between Kafrelsheikh University represented by the Department of Spanish Language at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, and the Cultural Department of the Embassy, and highlighting the most important cultural features of Spain, and the most important services it provides, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Abd El-Hamid Ghallab, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, and Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary-General of the University.

The president welcomes the visiting delegation at Kafrelsheikh University, and says that the visit aims to identify the university's research and scientific capabilities, discuss ways of future cooperation between it and Spanish universities in the academic and research fields, and enhance joint cooperation and exchange of experiences.

Dr. Abd El-Hamid Ghallab, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, indicates that the visit also includes the meeting of the cultural consultant with staff members in the Spanish Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, during which a presentation is reviewed on the history of the department and its most important activities and contributions, as well as the projects in which it participates in the field of the Spanish language, shedding light on the aspects of cooperation between the department and the Embassy of Spain. The visit also witnessed many artistic presentations by students of the Spanish Language Department, adding that an open dialogue took place that included many questions from the attendees, and the students are given symbolic gifts during the dialogue in appreciation of their scientific excellence.

The Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun adds that during the meeting of the cultural consultant with the students, aspects of cooperation that could benefit staff members, the assistant staff and students at the university to study in Spain through the various scholarships and grants offered through the Kingdom of Spain, are discussed.

The delegation also visits the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, and praises the impressive level of Kafrelsheikh University in terms of the university's advanced research capabilities, the architectural and construction sophistication of the faculties, and the urban coordination within the university campus.
