On 20 March 2023, Fuculty of al-Alsun held a cultural and linguistic open session titled as

"language and identity" under the supervision of the President of Kafrelsheikh University,  Prof.  Abdel-Razek Desouky,

and the Dean of  the Faculty of al-Alsun Prof.  Abdel-Hamid Ghallab, and in the presence of the Academic Personnel.

The session was moderated by the Head of Arabic Language Department at the Faculty of Arts Kafrelsheikh University,

Prof. Osama Abdel- Aziz Gaballah; the Head of Arabic Language Department at the Faculy of al-Alsun Kafrelsheikh University,

Prof.  Mahmoud Abdel Monem El-Deeb; and the Assistant Professor of Arabic Linguistics at the Faculty of al-Alsun Kafrelsheikh University,

Dr Mohammed Ibrahim El-Shafei.Prof. Abdel-Hamid Ghallab started the session by stressing the role of language in developing

our society describing  it as a tool for cultural  dominance, he also encouraged students to master and appreciate the Arabic language

for being  their mother tongue  along with the language of their major. Following Prof. Abdel-Hamid's speech,

Prof.  Mahmoud Abdel Monem El-Deeb raised questions concerning the topic under discussion. Eventually, 

participants were given the chance to discuss the topic with doctors and professors.
