Deans Council: Organizing the Efforts of Volunteer Students within the Framework of the Directives of the President of the Republic, on the Need to Expand Activities of a Societal Nature

  Today Tuesday, 8/2/2022, deans council holds, under the authority of the President Prof DrAbdelrazek Youssef Desouky, its monthly meeting to discuss and review the monthly developments and topics presented to the Council, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hasan Younis, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Reda Saleh, Vice President for community service and Environmental Development Affairs; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, Deans of Faculties and Secretary General of the University, Dr. Ali Sabry.

The president begins the meeting by offering his thanks and appreciation to the deans and employees for their efforts in the first semester examinations.

The deans direct the speedy completion of the control work, announcing the results to the students, and updating the websites and official pages of the sectors, faculties, institutes and centers.

Dr.Abdelrazek Youssef Desouky stresses the commitment to the schedule of the Supreme Council of Universities for the second semester, which begins on Saturday, February 19, and the study continues for sixteen weeks, ending on June 9 next, and exams for the second semester begin during the next June and July, according to the system of each faculty and the nature of the study in it.

As well, the President stresses the commitment to comprehensive cleansing and sterilization operations in all faculties, auditoriums, examination halls and student housing in preparation for the second semester and activating the role of male and female students in community development by organizing the efforts of volunteer students within the university via the volunteer unit project, within the framework of the directives of the President of the Republic the necessity of expanding the activities of a societal nature that contribute to the development of skills and capacity-building among young people, intensifying awareness-development programs for university students, and carrying out field visits to smart cities, national projects and Upper Egypt governorates to visit development projects.

The Deans Council reviews the follow-up of the implementation of the comprehensive development convoys carried out by the university within the "Dignified Life" initiative to serve the local community in the health, environmental, veterinary, social, and literacy fields.
