The University Council Discusses the Mechanisms and Controls of Examinations in an Emergency Meeting

 Today Tuesday 18/5/2021, the university council discusses in its emergency meeting, under

the authority of the President Prof Dr Abedelrazek Desouky, the preparation of the second

semester exams for the academic year 2020/2021 in the presence of  Major General Jamal

Noor El-Deen, Governor of Kafrelsheikh; Prof. Dr. Hassan Youness, Vice President for

Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Reda Saleh, Vice President for community

service affairs and environmental development, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abed El-All, Vice

President for Education, Student and the Deans, and Mr Ali Sabry, Secretary General of the

University and members of the Council.

The president stresses that all necessary precautionary measures should be prepared in this regard from now to ensure the good conduct of examinations and the safety of students, staff members and employees via preventing students from crowding into auditoriums, taking into account adequate social distancing among students, and taking advantage of all the university’s capabilities in conducting exams with full discipline according to what it was approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.

As well, Dr Desouky stresses the intensification of relying on e-learning "online" to provide theoretical lectures to students in a way that reduces student densities in auditoriums and classrooms and reduces student attendance rates on campus. The University Council decides to allow male and female students to enter examination committees before their start date in sufficient time to prevent crowding in front of the gates of faculties and the university campus, direct students to leave the examination halls after completing the exams, and allocate gates for students to enter and exit to prevent overcrowding in the interval periods of exams.

 

Major General Jamal Noor El-Deen, The Governor of Kafrelsheikh, expresses his happiness to communicate with the Council of Kafrelsheikh University to present the latest developments in the governorate, referring to the use of the university's expertise, and praises the precautionary measures within the university since the beginning of the Coronavirus crisis, confirming the commitment to health measures and calling for intensifying awareness campaigns.
