The meeting aims to follow up the progress of the educational process across the university’s various faculties, institutes, and units, and to discuss a number of strategic files related to developing the university education system, elevating the level of student care, enhancing the quality of academic and research performance, and expanding the horizons of innovation and entrepreneurship, in line with the Egyptian state’s orientation toward building the human being and achieving sustainable development.
During the meeting, Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid affirms that the university places the development of the educational process and the elevation of the quality of its outputs at the top of its priorities. This is achieved through continuous follow-up of the regularity of studies across the various faculties and institutes, and working to provide a stimulating educational environment that supports academic excellence, keeps pace with rapid developments in the fields of knowledge and technology, and contributes to preparing graduates who possess the knowledge and skills required by the labor market.
The President explains that the council discusses the development of an integrated system for student care, based on attention to building the student’s personality scientifically, ethically, and socially; enhancing their participation in student, cultural, sports, and community activities; consolidating the values of belonging, loyalty, and social responsibility; and spreading a culture of dialogue, tolerance, and respect for others. This is in addition to activating channels of communication with students and listening to their opinions and needs, thereby contributing to providing a safe, supportive, and creativity- and excellence-stimulating university environment.
In the context of keeping pace with digital transformations, the President confirms the importance of spreading awareness of digital culture and the responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies. This is to be achieved through organizing awareness meetings and workshops that help students employ these technologies effectively and safely in learning and scientific research, while emphasizing the necessity of verifying the accuracy of information, protecting privacy, respecting the rules of academic integrity, and developing critical and creative thinking skills, thereby ensuring the conscious use of modern technology.
In the context of enhancing social responsibility and environmental awareness, Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid confirms the importance of expanding students’ participation in volunteer and environmental initiatives, encouraging them to innovate practical solutions to confront the effects of climate change, reduce waste, spread a culture of recycling, and rationalize water and energy consumption. He affirms that the university’s role is not limited to providing knowledge, but extends to building awareness, developing positive behavior, and enhancing youth participation in protecting the environment and supporting sustainable development efforts.
The President concludes by affirming that the Deans’ Council represents an important platform for coordinating efforts and unifying visions among the university’s faculties and various sectors, and for following up the implementation of development plans according to clear priorities. This ensures the achievement of integration among education, scientific research, and community service, enhances the university’s ability to continue institutional and academic excellence, and consolidates its position as an educational and research institution active in building the human being and supporting Egypt’s comprehensive development journey.
