From the Heart of Madrid... Kafrelsheikh University opens a Strategic Gateway with Spain’s University of Alcalá to Build Global Partnerships in Medicine, Artificial Intelligence, and International Edu

 In the framework of Kafrelsheikh University’s strategy, led by Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid, to strengthen the university’s international presence and expand its network of academic relations with prestigious global universities, and as part of the series of meetings during his current visit to the Kingdom of Spain, the President holds a high-level meeting with Prof. Carmelo García Pérez, President of the University of Alcalá, Spain.

The meeting features extensive discussions on establishing an institutional framework for cooperation between the two universities in several priority areas, most notably medicine, nursing, healthcare, and the management of university hospitals. The discussions benefit from the University of Alcalá’s distinguished expertise in managing five of the largest university hospitals in the Spanish capital, Madrid. This opens new horizons for exchanging medical and administrative expertise and developing the university hospital system at Kafrelsheikh University.

The talks also addresses activating joint scientific supervision of master’s and doctoral theses, cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence and linguistics, activating the European Union’s “Erasmus” programs for student and faculty exchange, and joint work to submit research projects under the “Horizon Europe” programs. This will enhance opportunities for international funding and joint scientific output.

Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid affirms that the university is proceeding according to a clear strategic vision aimed at building a strong network of international alliances with leading global universities. This contributes to the transfer of expertise, exchange of knowledge, and enhancement of the university’s competitiveness at both regional and international levels.

Cooperation in artificial intelligence, joint scientific supervision, and the Erasmus and Horizon Europe programs will help advance Kafrelsheikh University to a more advanced stage in its journey toward internationalization and academic excellence.
