From Seville to Kafrelsheikh…. The President opens a New Path for International Academic Cooperation with Spain’s Pablo de Olavide University

 In the framework of Kafrelsheikh University’s strategy to open up to world universities, strengthen its international presence, and expand horizons of academic and research cooperation with prestigious educational institutions, Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid, President of the University, holds an important meeting with Dr. Saad Mohamed Saad, Head of the Department of Arabic Studies at Pablo de Olavide University in the Spanish city of Seville, and the official representative of the university. The meeting takes place on the sidelines of the visit with the Egyptian Consul in Seville.

The discussions covers opportunities for cooperation in applied languages, academic exchange programs, joint research projects, practical training in engineering fields, and the development of specialized programs that prepare graduates with international skills capable of competing in the global job market.

Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid affirms that Kafrelsheikh University is implementing a clear strategic vision to expand its partnerships with major European universities. He notes that international openness has become one of the most important axes for developing the university education system, and that the university seeks to provide an educational and research environment that aligns with the best global standards.

He explains that the university operates according to an institutional vision aimed at building genuine international academic alliances that enable the exchange of experiences, researchers, and students, develop educational and research programs, and enhance Kafrelsheikh University’s competitiveness at both regional and international levels. This is in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the national strategy for higher education and scientific research.

For his part, Dr. Saad Mohamed Saad, Head of the Department of Arabic Studies at Pablo de Olavide University and the university’s official representative, expresses his appreciation for the academic level achieved by Kafrelsheikh University. He confirms that the Spanish university looks with great interest at building institutional cooperation with it.

Dr. Saad Mohamed Saad also states that he senses a clear and ambitious vision for internationalization at Kafrelsheikh University during the meeting. He adds that there are promising opportunities for launching joint cooperation in applied languages, academic exchange, scientific research, and engineering training — cooperation that achieves mutual benefit for both institutions and strengthens scientific bridges between Egypt and Spain.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agree to continue coordination in the coming period to establish a practical framework for joint cooperation. This will pave the way for signing academic and research cooperation agreements that support Kafrelsheikh University’s journey toward global prominence, enhance its standing among international universities, and open new horizons for students, researchers, and faculty members.
