The University Council holds its regular December 2025 session on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the University Council Hall, chaired by Acting University President Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, in the presence of Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel Maati, Governor of Kafrelsheikh, and the honorable members of the Council.
The Governor affirms that the governorate is working to improve the quality of life for citizens through the implementation of integrated service and development projects. He points to urgent measures taken to address the transportation crisis, improve the cleaning and lighting systems, and expand road paving and infrastructure development.
He adds that the governorate gives special attention to the education and health sectors through the opening and development of schools, the inclusion in the Comprehensive Health Insurance System, and cooperation with Kafrelsheikh University and the Ministry of Health to provide distinguished medical services at the University Emergency Hospital. He confirms the continued implementation of "Dignified Life" projects to achieve sustainable development in the governorate.
Otherwise, Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting University President, confirms that the ongoing examinations across the faculties of Kafrelsheikh University are proceeding with regularity and discipline, with no obstacles report that affect the examination process. He notes that the university is monitoring the situation on an ongoing basis to ensure the smooth operation of the committees.
He explains that the university administration has stressed full compliance with the regulatory procedures within the examination committees, ensuring equal opportunities for all students and providing a calm environment that enables them to perform their exams with ease and comfort. He adds that the university places students' comfort and safety at the top of its priorities and works to provide a fair and secure examination environment that achieves the quality of the educational process.
The President points out that the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector is witnessing noticeable expansion in supporting scientific research, encouraging researchers to publish internationally, and linking scientific research to issues of sustainable development and serving the local community, thereby enhancing the university's research standing regionally and internationally.
He further adds that the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector plays a pivotal role in implementing medical and awareness caravans, community initiatives, and cooperation with governorate agencies to provide practical solutions to environmental and societal challenges, affirming that the university is an essential partner in the development plans within Kafrelsheikh Governorate.
The Council also approves the following:
- Appointment of 3 Professors
- Appointment of 5 Associate Professors
- Appointment of 5 Lecturers
- Awarding Master's degrees to 45 researchers
- Awarding PhD degrees to 16 researchers
- Awarding Professional Master's degrees to 31 researchers
- Awarding Professional PhD degrees to 3 researchers
