The President inaugurates the Unified Training Program for Qualifying Academic University Leadership

 Acting University President Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim officially opens the activities of the Unified Training Program for Qualifying Academic University Leadership. The program is organized by the International Center for Human Resources Management and Continuing Education, in the presence of Dr. Tarek Abdel Rahman, the Executive Director of the Center, along with several academic leaders from the university.

In his opening speech, Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting University President, confirms that Egyptian universities are currently facing unprecedented transformations. He confirms that “there is no room for remaining at the old station,” and that keeping pace with these rapid changes requires the preparation of academic leaders equipped with strategic thinking tools and the ability to manage change effectively.

The President explains that the program draws on the best international practices in the management and development of university leadership. It aims to qualify academic cadres capable of addressing contemporary challenges, foremost among them digital transformation, linking the educational process to the labor market, improving international university rankings, and achieving the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.

Dr. Tarek Abdel Rahman notes that the program spans three days, comprising a total of 18 training hours, with the participation of 14 trainees from various faculties of the university. It includes nine specialized training sessions delivered by a distinguished group of university leaders and experts. He highlights that organizing this program reflects Kafrelsheikh University’s strong commitment to investing in human resource development and building a second line of qualified academic leaders. This effort contributes to enhancing institutional performance efficiency and supporting the university’s comprehensive development journey.

It is worth mentioning that the first day features three training sessions. The first session addresses the topic of “Academic Leadership and International Rankings” and is delivered by Prof. Abdelrazek Desouky, former President of Kafrelsheikh University. The second session covers “Change Management, Institutional Development, and Innovation in Universities,” presented by Dr. Tarek Abdel Rahman. The third session focuses on “Academic Accreditation and Quality in Universities,” delivered by Prof. Mohamed Abu Wali, former Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs.

 

The second day also includes three training sessions. The first session discusses “Strategic Planning” and is presented by Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting University President. The second session addresses “Developing Education and Student Affairs,” delivered by Prof. Hasan Younis, former Vice President of the University. The third session explores “Legal and Administrative Aspects in Universities,” presented by Prof. Maher Abu Khawat, Dean of the Faculty of Law.
