Continuing the “Empowerment” Initiative: Seminar on Psychological Empowerment and Building Self-Confidence for People with Disabilities

 The General Administration for Student Welfare organizes a dialogue seminar entitled “Methods of Psychological Empowerment and Enhancing Self-Confidence” as part of the presidential initiative “Empowering People with Disabilities”.

Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim reaffirms the university’s strong commitment to supporting and empowering people with disabilities and to providing a fully inclusive educational environment that enables them to excel and integrate. He confirms that Kafrelsheikh University is dedicated to its societal role in supporting students with disabilities, raising awareness of their issues among the student body, and promoting a culture of acceptance and appreciation for this group, which represents a true added value to society.

Otherwise, Prof. Rushdy Shawqy El-Adawy states that the seminar is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of people with disabilities through specialized programs and activities. He highlights the university’s keenness to fully integrate these students into all university activities and to provide them with comprehensive support, noting that psychological and social empowerment is a fundamental step toward building strong personalities capable of success in all fields.

 

The session addresses methods of psychological empowerment for people with disabilities, ways to strengthen self-confidence, positive approaches to interacting with society, time-management techniques, goal-setting, and the importance of rejecting all forms of bullying. It also showcases inspiring role models of people with disabilities at both the academic and local levels and highlighted the vital role of student activities in supporting and empowering them.
