The university participates with a distinguished student delegation in the activities of the "Leaders of Awareness" Forum for students of Egyptian universities and institutes, organized by the Student Activities Sector of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Leaders Preparation Institute in Helwan, with broad participation from Egyptian universities. This is in line with the Egyptian state's support for building youth awareness and fostering their national belonging.
Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting President of the University, confirms that the university's participation in this forum stems from its constant commitment to empowering youth and building their national and intellectual awareness. He points out that the university believes in the importance of student activities in shaping the university student's personality, enhancing their leadership capabilities, and developing a sense of belonging and societal responsibility.
Otherwise, Prof. Rushdy Al-Adawy, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and General Coordinator of Student Activities at the university, explains that the student delegation's participation in the "Leaders of Awareness" Forum confirms the excellence of Kafrelsheikh University students in the fields of thought, culture, and volunteer work. He highlights that the university pays special attention to preparing its students for effective participation in various national forums, contributing to building a cultured generation aware of national challenges and capable of confronting destructive ideas with enlightened thought. He adds that such forums represent a real opportunity for cultural and intellectual exchange among university students, reinforcing concepts of belonging, citizenship, and responsibility. He confirms that the university will continue to support its students in participating in national activities that contribute to developing societal awareness.
It is worth noting that the forum includes a range of intellectual, cultural, and awareness activities, featuring lectures on Egyptian national security and societal challenges delivered by Major General Staff Engineer Dr. Hafez Mahmoud, former Assistant Minister of Trade and Industry and former Assistant Chief of Armed Forces Operations Staff. There is also an open dialogue entitled "Correct Your Concepts," part of the initiative issued by the Prime Minister's Office within the work of the Ministerial Group for Human Development, in collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Awqaf, with the participation of Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Awqaf.
The session addresses the importance of correcting concepts and societal behaviors, promoting positive values and the spirit of citizenship, and spreading a culture of respect for the law and societal responsibility among youth. The forum's activities also include interactive workshops on current societal issues and student initiatives aimed at addressing societal challenges, in addition to organizing a roundtable for the National Reading Project under the slogan "Egypt in the Colors of Knowledge."
