Kafrelsheikh University launches a comprehensive medical convoy to Zobaa Village and neighboring villages in the Hamoul Center, continuing its efforts under the presidential initiative “Together with Awareness, We Protect It,” in line with the directives of the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, as part of the National Human Development Project “A New Beginning for Building the Human,” which aims to implement diverse programs, activities, and services targeting various age groups and covering all governorates of the republic.
Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting University President, states that these convoys are part of the university’s role in implementing the state’s plan and the political leadership’s directives to build generations capable of keeping pace with Egypt’s serious steps toward establishing the New Republic and achieving its goals in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030. He confirms the university’s commitment to its societal role in serving the residents of villages in Kafrelsheikh Governorate in collaboration with the “Dignified Life” initiative.
He directs the continuation of medical and awareness convoys to the most needy areas across the governorate to provide free medical examinations and treatments.
Prof. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, highlights the importance of increasing the number of medical convoys in collaboration with the Kafrelsheikh Health Directorate to serve the most needy villages. She explains that the convoy provides medical examinations for 1,520 cases from Zobaa Village in the Hamoul Center, conducted by a select group of specialized and distinguished doctors in various fields under the “A New Beginning for Building the Human” initiative. Free medications are also provided to all patients visiting the convoy site.
Prof. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, states that the faculty is committed to actively participating in presidential initiatives aimed at supporting the health of Egyptian citizens. He confirms that the university has highly qualified medical staff providing distinguished free medical services during the convoys, working as a team to serve the local community in the most needy villages.
Prof. Wael El-Feki, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, explains that the medical convoy includes examinations in various medical specialties such as internal medicine, ophthalmology, ENT, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, pediatrics, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and neurology. Additionally, various nursing services are provided, including blood pressure and blood sugar measurements, height and weight assessments, and awareness sessions on reproductive health, diabetic foot care, and proper nutrition for children. He confirms that Kafrelsheikh University’s community participation represents a distinguished model of integration between education and public service.
