The "Students for Egypt" family at Kafrelsheikh University organizes today, Saturday, October 25, 2025, the major educational seminar entitled "October… An Epic of People and Army," under the patronage and attendance of Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting President of the University, held at the university theater in the Grand Conference Hall, in celebration of the 52nd anniversary of the glorious October victory and to affirm the university's role in enhancing national awareness and instilling values of belonging among its students.
In his welcoming speech, Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim confirms that the October War was not merely a military battle but a national event that embodied the unity of the people, the confidence of the leadership, and the will of the Egyptian soldier. He expresses his deep appreciation for the valiant Egyptian Armed Forces, which wrote with the blood of their heroes the most magnificent epics of heroism and sacrifice on October 6, 1973, confirming that this anniversary will remain a symbol of pride, belonging, and sacrifice for the sake of the homeland.
The president adds that the October victories were a turning point in the history of the Arab nation, proving that the Egyptian will is capable of overcoming difficulties and achieving the impossible. He affirms that the current generations are required to draw from the spirit of October the values of work, sincerity, and determination to build the new republic under the leadership of the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
The president also praises the national role of the "Students for Egypt" family and its efforts in organizing purposeful events and presenting a model of conscious and responsible students.
In his speech, Air Vice Marshal Dr. Hisham Al-Halabi, Advisor of the Military Academy for Postgraduate Studies, delivers an extensive analytical lecture in which he addresses the dimensions of the October War, pointing out that it was not only a military victory but a victory of awareness, will, and organization. He notes that there was complete public awareness before the war, and everyone knew their role precisely: the people supported the army, and the army trusted its people. This relationship is the secret of Egypt's strength throughout the ages.
Dr. Taher Nasr, Deputy Executive Director of the National Academy for Training, delivers an awareness lecture in which he points out that intellectual terrorism is what makes a person self-destruct and see all the negatives in their life, leading them to resent their family, work, and country. He adds that several factors make some citizens vulnerable to extremism, including: the disintegration of Egyptian families; loss of the ability to deal with personal psychological frustrations, leading to despair and surrender, which makes them fertile ground for negative ideas; lack of adherence to religious teachings, the emergence of fanaticism, and attempts to ignite sectarian strife; and the absence of the spirit of national belonging, which creates rebellion against the system and society and cooperation with the enemy against the homeland.
In this context, Dr. Ahmed Darraj, General Coordinator of the "Students for Egypt" family at Kafrelsheikh University, says that organizing this seminar is from a belief in the national role of university youth in drawing inspiration from the values of the October victory and instilling true awareness among students. He adds that the October War is an epic of people and army together, in which the Egyptian proved capable of overcoming the impossible when their will unites toward a single goal. Today, we need to reclaim this spirit in the battle of construction and development, for love of the homeland is not through slogans but through work, achievement, and faith that each of us has a real role in protecting Egypt's future.
