On Sunday, September 21, 2026, Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting President of Kafrelsheikh University, attends the flag-saluting ceremony marking the beginning of the new academic year 2025/2026.
The ceremony begins with the raising and saluting of the Egyptian flag at the main campus, attended by students from various faculties and members of the “Students for Egypt” family. In his speech, the Acting President welcomes both junior and senior students, extending his heartfelt congratulations on the start of the academic year, and urges them to work hard and contribute to nation-building.
Prof. Ismail confirms that saluting the Egyptian flag is a symbol of loyalty, belonging, and patriotism—an important national duty to renew the pledge of love and allegiance to Egypt, instilling national spirit and reinforcing students’ sense of belonging. He confirms that classes at all faculties commence on the first day of the academic year 2025/2026. He further notes that faculties had welcomed their students, get them acquainted with various activities, and held orientation meetings with newcomers to explain the academic system. He calls on deans to meet students regularly to listen to their concerns and provide immediate solutions, highlighting the university’s strong focus on student activities in arts, sports, and culture.
The Acting President also points to the importance of student unions and families, particularly their role in organizing activities, nurturing loyalty and belonging, and offering recreational outlets. He underlines the university’s commitment to expanding student participation in cultural, sports, social, and artistic activities, helping them develop their talents, enhance their skills, and invest their free time effectively, in line with the vision and direction of the Egyptian state and its leadership, under the guidance of the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, with particular focus on empowering youth.
During the first and second academic days, the “Students for Egypt” family distributes introductory forms across different faculties, along with guidance materials to familiarize students with its cultural, sports, social, artistic, trip, camp, and scouting activities, as well as the services provided to students and alumni. The Student Union also raises awareness about the importance of student families and their role in university life, in addition to reminding students about the significance of precautionary measures. The university leadership, together with members of the “Students for Egypt” family and the Student Union, took commemorative photos to affirm their support for student activities.
