Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting President of Kafrelsheikh University, accompanied by Prof. Amani Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, witness the launch of a comprehensive medical and awareness convoy in Al-Morabein village and neighboring villages in Kafrelsheikh Governorate, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts within the presidential initiative “Together, With Awareness, We Protect It”.
The convoy is organized under the patronage of the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, within the framework of the national human development project “A New Beginning for Human Building”. This project is launched upon directives from the President El-Sisi to implement diverse programs, activities, and services for all age groups across all governorates, reflecting the political leadership’s vision to build an advanced and integrated society through collective work among all ministries and state institutions. The convoy forms part of the series of initiatives launched by the university in cooperation with the Dignified Life Foundation across the villages of the governorate.
A number of specialized staff members from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, and Specific Education participate in the convoy. Free medical examinations are provided to a large number of citizens in various specialties, including internal medicine, ophthalmology, ENT, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, neurology, pediatrics, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, neurosurgery, and dentistry. Nursing services include blood sugar testing, measurement of height, weight, and blood pressure, diabetic foot care, anemia testing for children, as well as guidance for women on reproductive health and nutritional awareness for children to prevent malnutrition.
Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting President of Kafrelsheikh University, confirms the university’s commitment to continuing medical convoys in cities and villages most in need across the country, supported by distinguished academic staff from various medical specialties. He directs for the continuation of launching medical and awareness convoys across the governorate to provide free medical examinations and treatment.
Otherwise, Prof. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, confirms the importance of increasing the number of medical convoys in cooperation with the Directorate of Health in Kafrelsheikh to serve the villages most in need. She notes that 1,133 patients from Al-Morabein village, Kafrelsheikh, received medical examinations by highly qualified specialists as part of the “New Beginning for Human Building” initiative, with all prescribed medications provided free of charge.
The Faculty of Specific Education also participates in the convoy by organizing awareness seminars and workshops for village residents. Training sessions are conducted for women to enhance their skills in handicrafts and to develop small-scale projects such as jewelry, accessories, and homemade cleaning products, serving as the foundation for micro-enterprises that can generate income for their families. Workshops included textile crafts and recycling of fabric remnants to create handmade jewelry, accessories, purses, and keychains in simple yet innovative and aesthetically appealing designs.
