President of Kafrelsheikh University: The Educational Process has been running smoothly from the First Day of the Academic Year… and the University continues its Path in supporting Scientific Research

 Kafrelsheikh University holds its regular council meeting for September 2025, chaired by Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting President of the University, and attended by Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel-Moaty, Governor of Kafrelsheikh, along with council members, on Monday, September 29, 2025, in the University Council Hall.

The governor confirms the state’s and the governorate’s commitment to improving the education sector through school maintenance, building new schools, and developing sanitation and water projects, which are vital for citizens. He further highlights the governorate’s intervention in deploying buses to relieve transportation pressure, especially in the most crowded centers, with the aim of resolving the transportation crisis.

The Governor Abdel-Moaty also points to the visual identity project in the governorate, confirming the need to enhance its appearance in a sustainable, community-participation-driven, and cost-free manner. He thanks Kafrelsheikh University for its active role in improving the governorate’s visual identity.

The Acting President confirms that student activities are at the forefront of the university’s priorities, as they are vital in shaping a well-rounded student personality. He underlines that scientific, cultural, artistic, and sports activities are key pillars in developing students’ skills and talents, noting that the university will continue organizing diverse events and programs throughout the year to foster a spirit of belonging and positive competition among students.

He further affirms that scientific research remains a top priority for the university, as it is the main driver of development. He explains that the university seeks to support researchers, encourage innovative and entrepreneurial ideas, and strengthen international cooperation with prestigious universities and research centers, aiming to produce applied research that solves societal issues and meets community needs.

Within its societal role, Prof. Ismail confirms that Kafrelsheikh University continues to serve as a house of expertise, providing consultations and solutions to various local and regional issues, in addition to organizing medical, veterinary, agricultural, and awareness convoys to serve citizens. He confirms that the university is an active partner in supporting the state’s efforts toward sustainable development.

The University Council also discusses several key topics, including monitoring class schedules, ensuring staff members and assistant staff’ presence in classrooms and laboratories from the very beginning of the semester, reviewing plans for student activities in the first semester, mechanisms to support scientific research and encourage international publication, and linking academic research to local community needs and sustainable development goals.

The council also reviews postgraduate studies and research affairs in alignment with the state’s orientation to enhance innovation and scientific production, and discusses community service and environmental development initiatives, particularly in healthcare and awareness campaigns organized across villages in the governorate.

The Council also approves the following:

1)      Appointment of 7 Assistant Professors and 8 Lecturers.

2)      Awarding the Master’s degree to 54 researchers and the PhD degree to 20 researchers.

3)      Awarding the Professional Master’s degree to 30 researchers and the Professional PhD degree to 23 researchers.

4)      Awarding the Postgraduate Diploma in Nanoscience, Nanomedicine, and Nanoengineering to 14 researchers.

5)      Awarding the Clinical Pharmacy Diploma to 105 researchers.

6)      Awarding the Postgraduate Diploma – Doctor of Clinical Pharmacy Program to 84 researchers.
