Kafrelsheikh University: Council of Deans discusses preparations for the new academic year and activation of national initiatives

The Council of Deans of Kafrelsheikh University, chaired by Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting President of Kafrelsheikh University, held its regular meeting today, Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in the council hall to discuss several topics related to the educational and research process, as well as to review updates and matters submitted to the council.
Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim opened the meeting by congratulating Dr. Naglaa Ibrahim Atiya on her appointment as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, and Dr. Tamer Medhat Ibrahim on his appointment as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, wishing them success in their duties and in supporting the university’s academic development.
During the meeting, Prof. Ismail stressed the need for concerted efforts among all sectors of the university, praising the faculties’ contributions to education and community service. He emphasized the university’s commitment to following up on the operations of the computer lab at the Faculty of Specific Education to ensure full support for high school graduates during the electronic coordination period, facilitating the process of submitting applications.
He also underlined the importance of completing maintenance works in university facilities and dormitories, and ensuring the readiness of laboratories, lecture halls, and classrooms to provide an excellent learning environment for students.
Prof. Ismail highlighted the need to establish internal mechanisms and standards to monitor the performance of the scientific journals issued by the university’s faculties, with the aim of improving their ranking in line with the directives of the Supreme Council of Universities. He affirmed that distinguished scientific publishing is the gateway for the university to achieve research leadership.
On the awareness side, Prof. Ismail called for intensifying educational sessions with students to raise their awareness of the challenges and risks facing the Egyptian state, in addition to implementing programs and seminars aimed at reducing drug use and harmful synthetic substances. He also stressed training student cadres to participate in community awareness campaigns about the dangers of smoking and drug use, and referring cases in need of treatment to specialized medical centers.
The Acting President also reviewed the university’s efforts to expand its participation in the Decent Life initiative to serve the most underprivileged villages, praising the developmental role the university plays in this field.
In conclusion, Prof. Ismail reaffirmed the university’s continued participation in the second phase of the “Be Ready” initiative, within the presidential initiative “Alliance and Development,” and under the umbrella of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, which aims to equip one million students and graduates with the skills needed for future jobs.

He affirmed that Kafrelsheikh University will remain a model of academic excellence and community service, praising the efforts of the deans and faculty members in supporting the university’s progress.
