President of Kafrelsheikh University Praises the University’s Work System and Affirms: “Kafrelsheikh University Will Remain the Crown Jewel of Egyptian Universities”
Kafrelsheikh University held its regular University Council meeting today, Tuesday, July 29, 2025, under the chairmanship of Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University. The session took place in the Council Hall to discuss several topics related to the educational and research processes and to review the latest developments and matters presented to the Council.
Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky began the meeting by expressing his sincere thanks and appreciation to all Council members, former and current vice presidents, and all colleagues who have contributed with dedication to the university’s journey—whether they have completed their service or are still in office—commending their continuous efforts throughout his presidency.
The President emphasized that everyone had performed their duties with the spirit of a dedicated soldier during one of the most challenging periods in modern history. He pointed out that, thanks to collective efforts, Kafrelsheikh University succeeded in achieving excellence and leadership, securing the top position among Egyptian universities in many fields. He stated:
“We have managed to elevate the university to this distinguished status, thanks to God and the efforts of all staff members, making Kafrelsheikh University a local, regional, and international model of excellence.”
Dr. Desouky expressed special gratitude to the former presidents of the university, foremost among them Dr. Fawzy Turk—founder of the university, may he rest in peace—and Dr. Maged El-Qamary, for their foundational contributions to building this prestigious academic institution. He affirmed that the achievements realized today are a continuation of their ambitious vision, especially in light of the strong support the university has received from the political leadership.
The President explained that the establishment of Kafrelsheikh National University was a culmination of the government university's prestige, following the approval of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Additionally, the establishment of the Integrated Medical City aims to serve the people of the governorate and neighboring areas. He confirmed that these projects represent developmental, educational, and health milestones that will remain lasting testaments to this great achievement.
He added:
“The visit of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Kafrelsheikh University was a remarkable turning point. The university received unprecedented support, propelling it to the forefront of Egyptian universities thanks to his valuable trust.”
At the end of his speech, the President extended a message of gratitude and appreciation to everyone who worked with him, wishing all university staff continued success in their various roles. He said:
“We work for a higher purpose: to ensure that Kafrelsheikh University maintains its prestigious status as the crown jewel among Egyptian universities. Time may pass, but our efforts will remain. We ask God to reward us for the time and energy we have dedicated to serving our students.”
During the meeting, the University Council commended the significant and sincere efforts exerted by Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky in developing the university and enhancing its academic, research, and societal status. Council members expressed their deep appreciation for the President’s leadership role in implementing the Egyptian state’s vision for higher education—through strengthening infrastructure, modernizing educational and research facilities, providing cutting-edge equipment for medical and scientific faculties, and expanding advanced academic programs, which have improved educational outcomes and aligned with labor market needs.
The Council also praised Dr. Desouky’s commitment to supporting scientific research, promoting international publishing, and enhancing cooperation with both local and international academic institutions. His initiatives in community service and environmental development have led Kafrelsheikh University to earn advanced positions in both local and international rankings, making it a model of institutional and administrative excellence.
Additionally, the University Council extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, for his outstanding efforts during his tenure. His contributions have had a significant impact on the development of the university's educational system and student services. He has consistently worked to provide a supportive and stimulating learning environment, improve academic and administrative performance quality, and expand student services and activities, reflecting his insightful vision and dedication to the job. His efforts have played a vital role in strengthening the university's local and regional standing.
The Council also approved the following decisions during its meeting:
Granting the academic title of "Professor" to 4 faculty members, and "Associate Professor" to 12 faculty members.
Appointing 6 new lecturers.
Awarding the Master's degree to 36 researchers and the PhD degree to 12 researchers.
Awarding the Professional Master's degree to 14 researchers and the Professional Doctorate degree to 5 researchers.
Postgraduate diploma degrees were also granted as follows:
In Sports Sciences: 12 researchers.
At the Faculty of Science (Winter Semester): 51 students.
At the Faculty of Al-Alsun (Languages): 1 student.
In Applied Professional Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence: 10 students.
In Veterinary Medicine: 80 students.
In Web Programming at the Faculty of Computers and Information: 21 students.
