University of Kafrelsheikh Launches Student Leadership Training Camps at Baltim Resort for the Academic Year 2024/2025
The General Administration for Student Welfare at the University of Kafrelsheikh has launched the first batch of the university's Leadership Training Camp at Baltim Resort for the 2024/2025 academic year. The camp’s activities will span a month and a half and include six cohorts for male students and six for female students. These cohorts will participate in various activities including scouting, sports, student union groups, social solidarity and activities, scientific and outstanding students, as well as cultural and artistic programs. The initiative is under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, with supervision by Dr. Roshdy El-Adawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky stated that the university’s permanent camp at Baltim Resort aims to develop students’ sense of leadership and responsibility to serve the future of Egypt under the guidance of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The program includes awareness and educational activities such as seminars, lectures, workshops, along with recreational and sports events to be enjoyed on the beautiful shores of Baltim. This initiative supports the university's strategic plan for enhancing student activities as a cornerstone of its development efforts, in alignment with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal emphasized that student activity is a top priority at the university as it plays a fundamental role in shaping students’ personalities within the broader national project to develop human capabilities and intellect. He affirmed that the university spares no effort in providing the necessary resources to enable students to compete in various events locally and beyond.
Dr. Roshdy El-Adawy noted that the summer activities aim to promote student engagement in sports, social, and cultural activities within a positive environment. He highlighted the university's commitment to achieving genuine and effective integration of students in all educational, cultural, and recreational fields.
It is noteworthy that the camp’s program includes a wide range of lectures focusing on topics such as instilling national identity, Egypt and future challenges, the importance of national mega projects, e-government, the "Decent Life" initiative, and combating rumors. It also includes practical workshops to enhance youth skills related to future employment opportunities, in addition to various sports and recreational activities.
