The Social Activities Department of the General Administration of Student Welfare participates in the activities of the fourth "Listen and Speak" Forum, which is held at Al-Azhar Conference Hall in Nasr City at the ministerial level. The forum aims to formulate practical initiatives to enhance community security, with a focus on the role of civil society as a first line of defense against extremism, under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal, Vice President of the University for Education and Students’ Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Rushdy El-Adawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, states that the University's participation in the forum aims to enhance the role of civil society in combating extremism by highlighting the importance of volunteer initiatives in strengthening community ties, raising awareness among young people about the Palestinian case by providing them with historical knowledge and effective use of digital media, combating media misinformation by exposing misleading methods and promoting critical thinking, promoting the values ??of tolerance and coexistence by spreading the culture of dialogue and understanding, and preparing practical recommendations to support national and international strategies to combat extremism and enhance cooperation between various institutions.
Otherwise, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs at the University, points out that this year's forum reflects the vision of the Al-Azhar Observer to offer practical solutions that enhance intellectual and societal stability and strengthen society to become more aware and capable of confronting extremist ideas.
