Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed Fouad Heno, Minister of Culture, Professor Dr. Abdel Razek Youssef Desouky, President of Kafrelsheikh University, Professor Dr. Ashraf El-Azazy, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Culture, and Professor Dr. Abdel Hamid Ali Ghallab, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Kafrelsheikh University, A symposium entitled "Translation and Language Technology" was held today, Sunday, April 20, 2025. The symposium was organized by the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Kafrelsheikh University in cooperation with the Translation Committee at the Supreme Council of Culture. The symposium was attended by a group of language and translation professors from Egyptian universities and members of the Translation Committee at the Supreme Council of Culture.The symposium will be moderated by:
Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid Ghallab, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Kafrelsheikh University.
Participating in the symposium will be:
Prof. Dr. Hussein Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty of Languages ??and Translation at Badr University in Cairo and Rapporteur of the Translation Committee.
- Prof. Dr. Sami Mohamed Mandour, Professor of French Language, Faculty of Languages ??and Translation, Al-Azhar University, and member of the Translation Committee.
- Prof. Dr. Sayed Rashad Korni Mohamed, Assistant Professor of Linguistics and Swahili Language, Faculty of African Graduate Studies, Cairo University, and member of the Translation Committee.
- Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Kamal El-Sayed, Professor of Chinese Language and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Languages ??and Translation, Badr University in Cairo, and member of the Translation Committee.
- Prof. Dr. Asim Ezz El-Din Taher El-Ammari, Professor of German Language, Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, and member of the Translation Committee.

At the beginning of the symposium, the Dean of the College delivered a welcoming speech, welcoming the attendees, including experts, researchers, and students. He emphasized the importance of this event in enhancing knowledge and cooperation in the field of translation and language technology. He expressed his anticipation of hearing the fruitful ideas and discussions that will be presented during the session, thanking everyone for their attendance and participation, and noting the importance of these scientific activities in expanding the skills of professors and those interested in this field.
