Today, Tuesday, 24/12/2024, the Development Projects Council, headed by Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, holds its regular session, in the Council Hall to discuss a number of topics related to the educational and research process, and to review the developments and topics presented to the Council.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, begins the Council’s work with the procedures for applying for projects of the Development Projects Management Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the university’s faculties’ application for institutional and programmatic accreditation, confirming the university’s keenness to provide all types of support to the faculties to complete the quality systems and renew accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. The university also adopts academic standards that are compatible with development needs and in line with the university’s new strategic plan, the state’s trends, and Egypt’s Vision 2030. He points out that the university administration has provided all the necessary needs for the university’s faculties for their accreditation, as plans have been developed for technical support by the university’s Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center to ensure that the faculty meets the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
The Council also discusses the training courses held by the International Center for Human Resources Management and Continuing Education at the University, as fifteen training courses are held for staff members, assistant staff, doctoral and master’s students, and (23) certificates from other universities in Egypt are equated.
The president confirms the need to update the data of staff members on the university website, upload exam schedules for the first semester of the academic year 2024/2025 for all faculties on the university's mobile application on Android and IOS, update student data on the university's mobile application on Android and IOS, revise the websites of all faculties and sectors in Arabic and English to update the data for each faculty, update the university's guide in Arabic, continuously update the university's website in the press and media and upload everything related to the university daily, upload all videos sent by the General Administration of Public Relations to the university's official YouTube channel, make a daily backup of the data from the university's entire website, provide technical support to all faculties on the website and supporting websites, personal websites and Google Scholar, update all data and news on the university's home page, and follow up the websites of the university's faculties.
The Council also discusses holding several electronic exams for the middle of the first semester of the academic year 2024/2025, for 5 faculties with a total of 74 courses and 28,196 students in the period from November 10 to 23, 2024. The electronic exams schedule for the end of the first semester is also approved in the period from November 22, 2024 to January 23, 2025 with a total of 258 courses.
The role of the International Relations Office is also discussed, as the activity of the International Relations Office at the university is an important step towards enhancing international cooperation and providing new opportunities for students and academics, confirming the continuation of efforts to enhance bilateral relations and provide distinguished scientific and research cooperation programs. The future goals of the office are summarized in enhancing international cooperation with leading international universities - providing new opportunities for students and academics in the fields of education and scientific research - enhancing cultural and scientific exchange between Kafrelsheikh University and distinguished foreign universities.
