Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, announces that the university obtains the eighth place locally, repeated, among 30 public, private and civil universities, and the 201-250th place globally, among 749 universities from 92 countries worldwide, in the first edition of Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings for 2025. This edition, the first of its kind, aims to measure the extent of universities’ contributions and commitment to interdisciplinary sciences. This edition seeks to discover the best universities in the field of interdisciplinary scientific research through the Times Higher Education Ranking of interdisciplinary sciences, which is a project in cooperation with Schmidt Science. This edition includes 11 indicators to evaluate universities across three main themes: inputs (funding 19%), outputs (publications, research quality and reputation 65%), and operations (measure of success, facilities, administrative support and promotion 16%).

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky states that the university’s achievement of these advanced positions locally and globally is a great achievement for the university and a culmination of the efforts made and ongoing to develop the scientific research system, the quality of published researches, and interest in international scientific publishing in globally indexed journals and periodicals and holding international conferences, by providing all the necessary capabilities to promote the educational and research system, in addition to providing continuous support to researchers and innovators, congratulating the academic and administrative leaders, staff members, assistant staff and researchers at the university for this distinction and great achievement.

Otherwise, Prof. Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, points out that the success of Kafrelsheikh University in being permanently present in the international rankings, especially the Times Higher Education Ranking, and the first edition of interdisciplinary sciences for the year 2025 is a great achievement based on a vision, strategy and long-term plans, confirming that this distinction is the result of the efforts of the university and its members and the continuous efforts made by the university administration in all fields.
