Agricultural Convoy of the Presidential Initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building”

 The Faculty of Agriculture launches a free agricultural guidance convoy of the presidential initiative "A New Beginning for Human Building" entitled "Care of Field Crops and Summer Vegetables - Poultry Wealth Development" in agreement with the General Administration of Agricultural Guidance at the Directorate of Agriculture in Kafrelsheikh Governorate and in cooperation with the Agricultural Research Station in Sakha - Agricultural Research Center, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision of Dr. Yahya Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and the implementation and follow-up of Dr. Sayed Bilal, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, confirms that the University administration has developed a plan to contribute to the presidential program for developing the Egyptian countryside "Dignified Life" and the presidential initiative "A New Beginning for Human Building" by launching several free monthly guidance convoys by the Faculty of Agriculture at the University to all villages in Kafrelsheikh Governorate to identify the most important problems of agricultural and animal production facing farmers and producers on the ground. These convoys include lectures to identify the most important problems facing farmers and methods of planting different crops and the most important technical recommendations that must be taken into account to care for these crops, whether field crops or vegetables, and the researchers listening to the most important questions of farmers and the most important complaints they face and how to overcome these obstacles within the conditions of the local area, the most important solutions, the most important varieties, the most appropriate dates for planting and how to make the best use of the area.

 

Otherwise, Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, points out that the university is keen to implement these convoys periodically, within the framework of the pivotal role played by the university in serving the community, with the aim of supporting the practical aspect of the students and confirming the positive societal role that the university plays, directing thanks to all team works and wishing them further progress.
