The President witnesses the Launch of a Cooperation Plan among the Delta Region Alliance Universities at Mansoura University

 Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, witnesses the launch of the cooperation plan among the Delta Region Alliance universities, at the headquarters of Mansoura Ahlia University in Gamsa City, accompanied by Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, as part of the activities of the "First Forum of Delta Region Alliance Universities" organized by Mansoura University during its presidency of the alliance this year 2024, at the student camp in Gamsa City during the period from July 20 to July 25, 2024, and held under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, confirms that the Delta Region Universities Alliance enhances the support of deep-rooted universities for emerging universities and the exchange of expertise and capabilities in a way that benefits emerging universities in their development path, and achieves integration between research centers and production and industrial institutions, especially in light of the special nature of the Delta region, which represents a fertile environment for research projects, praising this alliance for achieving actual integration between the higher education and scientific research system and production and industrial institutions, which is one of the most important themes of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, and implementing the state’s vision for sustainable development Egypt 2030.

 

The president also confirms the need to disseminate the culture of entrepreneurship among university students by establishing a unit to support and finance student projects that present different ideas and visions that reflect the environmental nature of each student to exchange experiences in cooperation with industry partners, based on the idea of ??integration between the alliance and the industrial sector, pointing out that the Delta sector represents 25% of Egypt's population, and the number of governmental and private technological universities, which places the responsibility on the region's universities to achieve integration among them to achieve the state's vision for sustainable development, and achieve integration and sufficiency in the medical, industrial, agricultural and technological fields.
