The Students win the First Place among Egyptian Universities in Graduation Projects Support for the Academic Year 2023/2024

 Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, announces that Kafrelsheikh University students win the first place in the results of graduation projects support for the academic year 2023/2024 for students of Egyptian public, private and technological universities and higher institutes, under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s support for student projects distinguished by new and emerging technologies, and promoting student project ideas to serve Egyptian industries and linking scientific research outputs to the Egyptian market and its needs, as the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology launched the “My Project is My Beginning” program eleven years ago, to support graduation projects for Egyptian universities’ students, which is the largest program to graduation projects support in the Arab world, and represents an essential source for emerging companies and small and medium industries.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, indicates that the University wins the first place, as it received support for 18 projects worth one million and 284,415 pounds. The evaluation committees formed in the academy took a full month to evaluate all the submitted projects to choose the best ones from a scientific and practical perspective, and at the level of individual projects submitted directly by students, and arbitration was carried out by specialized technical committees in the fields of (biotechnology, agricultural field, medical field, space science, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, financial technology, cybersecurity, making short documentary films, visual identity, the fourth generation of the industry, deepening the local component, prosthetic devices, smart cities, drones and unmanned vehicles), and 278 graduation projects worth 15 million and 49,250 pounds are accepted, the number of students who benefited was 1,701 male and female students from all Egyptian universities and institutes.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky expresses his great happiness with the project ideas presented by the university students, especially since they were concerned with national projects and issues in Egypt, calling on the students to benefit from them and turn them into projects on the ground, and to work on marketing them in all local and international competitions.

It is worth noting that the primary goal of launching the academy’s programs is to create an integrated system for innovation and create an integrated innovative society, and that graduation projects are just the first step in creating startup companies through the “Intilac” program, as the selected topics and fields are carefully studied so that the ideas could complete their journey from the scientific idea to the applied idea and then to the Egyptian market and then the regional market.
