Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouki, President of the University, announces the inclusion of Kafrelsheikh University in the Arab ranking list for Arab universities, as it ranks the 18th place in the Arab world out of a total of 115 Arab universities and the seventh place locally out of a total of 28 Egyptian government universities that applied for this ranking and this is in the first edition of the Arab Ranking of Arab Universities for the year 2023 issued by the Association of Arab Universities.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouki, President of the University, congratulates the university family, including staff members, the assistant  staff, employees and students, on this new achievement of the university, praising the role played by the university, which has resulted in the university’s distinction in the international rankings for which it applies, wishing everyone continuation, perseverance and diligence, to improve the university’s position among international and Arab universities, which leads to the university’s global advancement, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

The president also confirms that the new Arab ranking aims to encourage scientific research based on creativity, development and innovation in universities and research centers, and to encourage the marketing and dissemination of scientific products and technology management to reach the knowledge economy, in addition to the indicator of international and national cooperation and community service.

Dr. Ismail Al-Qan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, indicates that the Arab ranking project for universities is achieved within the common interest between the League of Arab States, the Arab League for Education, Culture and Science, the Union of Arab Universities and the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils in improving the outcomes of higher education and scientific research. The Arab ranking project is implemented in accordance with a selected set of global standards consistent with the Arab environment, and the Arab ranking of universities is designed based on a methodology based on four indicators that are compatible with the vision and needs of the Arab countries.
