Today, Tuesday, the University Council, headed by Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouki, President of the University, holds its regular session in the Council Hall to discuss a number of topics related to the educational and research process, and to review the developments and topics presented to the Council, in the presence of Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafrelsheikh; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Al, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary-General of the University, deans of faculties, and the Counselor Abd Allah Ghallab, the university’s legal advisor.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, begins the University Council session by welcoming Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafrelsheikh, appreciating the vital role between the governorate and the university, and he also congratulates the University Council the university’s progress in the Chinese Shanghai ranking, wishing for more efforts during the coming period in all specializations to achieve advanced positions in all international rankings.
The university president also appreciates the state’s role in launching the Egyptian Educational Tourism Initiative, as well as the “EGYAID Initiative” to attract international students, as the main goal of educational tourism is academic achievement, learning from experiences, and acquiring the necessary knowledge. The Egyptian Initiative for Scholarships and Educational Tourism is as an extension of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, as the initiative includes 7 main principles, which are: You are innovative, you are in your second country, you are an ambassador, you are integrated, the world is ours, we care for you, everyone learns together.
In his speech, Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafrelsheikh, expresses his great happiness at his presence in the Beacon of Science at Kafrelsheikh University. He also congratulates the University Council on the continued progress in the international rankings obtained by the university in all fields, the latest of which is the Chinese Shanghai Ranking for Specializations 2023, adding that this is not strange about Kafrelsheikh University because it is a beacon of cognitive science.
The President also directs the deans to intensify the university’s efforts, stressing that the university will continue to launch medical, veterinary and agricultural convoys, educational seminars, and various events and activities, positive contribution to capacity building in the health, environmental, veterinary and social fields, in cooperation with the “Dignified Life” initiative, to activate the university’s role in community service and environmental development at the governorate level.
