The Governor of Kafrelsheikh and the President of the University witness the Opening of the Second Sportive Festival for student families of the Egyptian universities at Kafrelsheikh University


 Today, Saturday, 1/10/2022, the university witnesses the launch of the activities of the second sportive festival for student families of Egyptian universities, and the activities will continue from 30/9/2022 until 4/10/2022, which is held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports and Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafrelsheikh, and Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University.

The President of Kafrelsheikh University stresses that the festival is the fruit of cooperation between the university and the Ministry of Youth and Sports represented by the “Central Administration for Sportive Development” and aims to develop students’ skills, especially in the sportive field, which contributes positively to the formation of the student’s personality and his physical and psychological rehabilitation, in addition to the organization and participation in such festivals help instill the values of honest competition and achieve communication and integration among university students, stressing the keenness of the university administration to provide means of support for students to practice all student activities, which contributes to supporting students' capabilities.

For his part, the Governor of Kafrelsheikh, Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, says that the state cares about sports and follows up its support and development to achieve mass sports that rise to the required level, calling on everyone to cooperate and work in a new culture that embodies the ethics of sports, stressing the importance of discovering and developing talents and supporting their participation in local and international sports tournaments and courses.

Mr. Ahmed Hassan Abdel Aziz, Director General of the General Administration of Student Sportive Activity, conveys the greetings of the Minister of Youth and Sports to the audience and says that Kafrelsheikh University has spared no effort in sponsoring sports and athletes in order to achieve its pioneering and distinguished role and keep pace with the interest of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in sports in its universities and institutes in implementation of the President’s directives Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, for the necessity of paying attention to sports activities, praising the university’s administration for the good organization of the festival.

Prof. Dr. Taya Abd El-Latif, Advisor of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for student activities, points out the importance of the great and important role of sports in refining students' physical and psychological skills, and forming their integrated personalities, as well as discovering sports talents, bringing out creative energies, spreading sports awareness within the student community, and restoring the role of sports and the position of universities in the sports arena locally, regionally and internationally, and the expansion of the participation of universities in supplying all national sports with champions and talents.

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President of Kafrelsheikh University for Education and Students’ Affairs, confirms that the second sportive festival for student families in Egyptian universities is the first start for preparations for the beginning of sports activity for the new academic year, pointing to the importance of student activities in general and sports in particular.

 

The opening ceremony was attended by Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafrelsheikh; Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of Kafrelsheikh University; Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, Mr. Amr El-Bashbeshi, Deputy Governor of Kafrelsheikh; Prof. Dr. Hasan Younes, former Vice President of the University, and Dr. Ali Sabri, Secretary General of the University and a number of academic leaders in universities.
