Faculty of Languages Organizes Field Training for its Students


 Under the patronage of the President Prof Dr Abedelrazek Desouky; Prof Dr Reda Salih, the vice president for community service and environment development affairs and Prof Dr Abedelhamid Ghallab, the dean of Faculty of Languages, Faculty of Languages organizes field training for 200 students.

The training program includes a set of theoretical lectures “online” via using the “Microsoft Teams” platform in the areas of translation, tourist guidance, language and scientific research. The training program also included organizing a training field visit to the most important tourist and archaeological landmarks of Kafrelsheikh city, such as the Kafrelsheikh Museum, the Church of the Virgin in Sakha and King Fouad Palace, to train students to use the skills acquired during their studies at the faculty.

The students implement computer translation skills with Dr. Muhammad Yousry, a lecturer in the Department of English, and Muhammad Saad, administrator in the Department of English at the faculty.

The students also train in the skills and tools of tourism guidance with Dr. Muhammad Shebl, the lecturer in the Spanish Department, and skills for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers with Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Shafei, the lecturer in the Department of Arabic Language as well as search skills on the Internet, with Dr Alaa Abu Hatab, Assistant Lecturer in Libraries and Information Department, Faculty of Arts at the university.

 

The President Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Dosouky explains that the implementation of training programs for students comes within the university’s strategic plan to ensure that students acquire the necessary field skills to compete in the labor market, in addition to applying these skills via presenting experimental models according to the latest international specifications on the ground.
