The President Inspects the Construction Site of the Emergency Hospital and the Oncology Center

 Today Wednesday 28/4/2021, the President Prof Dr Abedelrazek Desouky inspects the construction site of the emergency hospital and the oncology center, in order to determine the construction status and follow-up the implementation stages of the two projects within the framework of the second phase of establishing the medical city at the university in the presence of Prof Dr Hasan Youness, the vice president for post-graduation studies and research; Prof Dr Reda Salih, the vice president for community service and environment development; Prof Dr Mohammad Abed El-All, the vice president for education and students’ affairs; Prof Dr Taha Ismail, the executive person of the dean of Faculty of Medicine and Prof Dr Hatem El-Gohary, the manager of the university hospital.

The hospital is a major achievement for the medical sector in the governorate, and it is the dream of the people of Kafrelsheikh, instead of moving to emergency hospitals in neighboring governorates, and it is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022.

The President mentions that the Prime Minister directs the necessity to start the internal finishing works of the hospital, in conjunction with the construction work, in a way that enables the speedy completion of all work related to the hospital, in order for it to enter the service as soon as possible to complete this project, directing the rapid provision of the necessary funding.

Dr Desouky adds the total cost of the emergency hospital is one billion and six hundred million pounds, including equipment and the oncology center, amounting to 200 million pounds and 50 million of self-resources. The work is carried out in 3 phases and the equipment for the Oncology Center has been contracted, indicating that the two projects will provide an excellent medical service to the governorates of the Delta.
