Overview
The interdisciplinary PhD program aims to provide the skills, knowledge, professional competences and experience of researchers in the Aquatic and Fisheries Sciences fields. Candidates must be capable of addressing problems that require interdisciplinary skills. On completion of the PhD degree, graduates will be equipped to work on creative tasks in a new scientific or technological environment and form part of interdisciplinary research groups.
The main aim of acquiring a PhD degree in Aquatic and Fisheries Sciences is to understand, examine and develop novel ideas, where the candidate could utilize this knowledge to find and develop solutions for fisheries systems, fisheries products processing and aquaculture biotechnology, to help the producer, consumers and the environment for achieving the maximum benefits from Aquatic and Fisheries Sciences, with special concern to the socioeconomic significance.
