And directing the manufacture of some of the university's requirements in the workshops of the College of Engineering.
Prof. Abdel-Fattah Heliel reviewed one of the research projects for faculty members supported by the STDF
Project Title: Application of Wind and Solar Energy Sources and Nanotechnology in a Hybrid Desalination System of Multistage Flash, Humidifying and Dehumidifying Units, and Solar Distillation Units
Project financing value: 1,745,990 Egyptian pounds
Principal Investigator of the Project: Dr. Fadel Abdel Moneim Issa
This research project aims to build a complete desalination plant driven entirely by renewable energy sources without using any of the traditional sources of energy. Wind and solar energy sources will also be used to produce electrical energy that will cover the station's consumption and send the remaining energy to the grid. As a result, the plant consists of three thermal desalination units fused together to build a large hybrid desalination system
