The Council decided to approve the mechanism and conditions for activating the FDTC Fundamentals of Digital Transformation Certificate in Egyptian universities as follows:
1- Considering the FDTC Fundamentals of Digital Transformation Certificate as a requirement to grant any postgraduate certificate in Egyptian universities to students enrolled in postgraduate studies starting from 1/2/2022 in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities issued on 18/7/2019
2- Amending the internal regulations of Egyptian universities’ colleges and institutes to allow the application of the Basics of Digital Transformation Certificate as an alternative to any other certificate in the field of information technology, provided that all certificates approved by the Supreme Council of Universities in this regard and issued before 1/2/2022 are recognized.
3- Considering the Basics of Digital Transformation Certificate within the optional promotion courses required at the university for faculty members applying for promotion to the rank of assistant professor or professor, with a minimum of one course and a maximum of two of the optional courses for the FDTC certificate, each of which is counted as one of the required promotion courses.
4- The certificate of basics of digital transformation obtained by the teaching assistant or assistant teacher is counted as 2 of the required courses at the university.
5- The trainee may enter the test directly without attending the training program or training programs eligible for obtaining a certificate of the basics of digital transformation, or re-examination, provided that the trainee bears a total amount of (60) sixty pounds for each training program wishing to enter the test directly without attending the training or re-exam The test for each training program, in return for opening the tests, intellectual property rights, and the automated system for tests.
