Based on the university's vision of the pivotal role played by the sport in building the personality of the students and developing their skills and contributing to their rehabilitation as the right base from which the talents of the students are launched, Prof. Majid Al-Qamri, President of the University, opened on Saturday 1/4/2017 the Open Squash Championship With the participation of five universities (Alexandria - Mansoura - Zagazig - Tanta - Kafr al-Sheikh).

Where he stressed that the goal of organizing such a tournament at the university is to provide various opportunities for students to compete in high-level sports. Develop the skillful side of sports activity, embrace mathematically gifted students, help them develop their talents, and create a spirit of acquaintance among students.

In the same context, he added that the University of Kafr El Sheikh has the means and facilities to make it able to organize such tournaments to have the university sports stadium complex with international standards of high level, which was praised by all delegations participating in the tournament. On the other hand, all the delegations expressed their happiness at the presence of the University of Kafr Al-Sheikh this huge educational edifice and declared that it is an honorable model of the Egyptian universities must be followed.
